No two homes require exactly the same support- Mandy’s pricing structure reflects that. On this page, you’ll find an overview of Mandy’s general services and fees from which to gain a perspective.

Parents are often surprised to discover just how much insight Mandy has to offer. After just one consultation, parents usually leave with a handful of resources and a whole lot more hopeful possibilities.

Using state-funding options to pay for Mandy’s support? Please mention this when you first reach out. Clients are responsible for spearheading this collaboration and must clearly communicate expectations before entering into a working relationship.

California offers endless homeschooling pathways, programs, and options- but sometimes that can feel overwhelming! Mandy’s virtual “Homeschool 101 Chat” is a live webinar (in-person is also available in the Los Angeles area) and in 90 minutes, offers information and clarity  that takes most parents months to glean.

Parents leave feeling more inspired and less overwhelmed! That inspiration undoubtedly leads to more family-specific questions, so Mandy recommends letting the information settle, then scheduling a private phone consultation to go deeper.

Before we connect on the phone,  you’ll be asked to complete an open-ended questionnaire about your family’s learning needs. I read every word, and the more detail you share, the more tailored the guidance can be.

During our 45 minute call, we’ll focus on your top concerns and begin clarifying your next steps. We may talk about online resources, tutors, balancing academics with your child’s passions, or whatever is weighing on you most. You’ll leave with practical ideas, helpful resources, and a clearer picture of next steps.

These calls are dense with information- you will want to take notes! One consultation is often enough, other parents- especially those with multiple children, IEPs, school-burnout, academically advanced learners, or high schoolers choose ongoing support.

I need help tackling a larger part of my child’s learning.

Mandy will share a customized path forward based on your needs. Many parents reach out with a task they can’t wrap their head around or simply don’t have the time for. There is never a task too specific, silly, or strange- if it would meet the support needs of your family, she’s here for it.

A limited number of families have the opportunity to work with Mandy on a retainer basis. In this capacity, parents gain exceptional access to her skills, insight, and schedule. She manages every aspect of your child’s education through direct collaboration, creating a “perfect fit” learning path for them. Some have claimed that this option surpasses the ease of school enrollment while offering a level of care and attention even elite private schools can’t manage. If you’re potentially interested in working with Mandy in this capacity, let her know. If she has availability she will clearly guide you through your options.

“My child’s educator needs training in Pathalogical Demand Avoidance.”

Mandy’s “PDA Aware Educator” training is a multi-media approach to engaging educators (coaches, teachers, tutors, etc.) in the PDA experience. Through self-paced slides, the educator will listen to podcasts, watch videos, and gain access to resources for further learning.
After the self-training, educators get a one-on-one call with Mandy herself, where they can debrief and dip into further application. Once the educator has had a week or two to apply their new learning, they receive yet another troubleshooting session on the phone, live with Mandy. During this call, the discussion is focussed on real-life experiences: the wins as wel as the logistical challenges PDA can present. Upon request, the educator can receive a certificate of completion.
Under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), educator training and consultation may be included in a student’s IEP when the IEP team determines they are needed to support the child’s educational access and progress. When these services are included in the IEP, the school district- not the family- is generally responsible for arranging and paying for them. If you would like Mandy’s services to be considered, mention this during the IEP process and include the request in writing.

Additional educators may be added to the training for the same child/family at a 50% discount. Partial scholarships are available for specific circumstances when PDA has resulted in significant financial hardship,

“Our babysitter or nanny needs training in Pathalogical Demand Avoidance.”

Finding childcare for children with PDA can be challenging- to say the least! Mandy has taken the same approach as her educator training and applied it to childcare workers. The “PDA Aware Child Care” training has the same multi-media approach as mentioned above and involves the same process and steps- including the two love one-on-one follow-up phone sessions!

Childcare providers who are not currently employed by a PDA family but who want to gain tolerance and empathy to this profile of ASD, are encouraged to reach out for a discounted and augmented training process.

If you are a babysitter or childcarer who would like to take this training, scholarships are available. If your sitautuon matches one of the following, please reach out:
  • A teenage group of babysitters
  • 18yo+ supporting families through the Regional Center or IHSS
  • Supporting foster children or at-risk youth
  • A boyscout or a girlscout working on an award with a focus on disability support or awareness

Mandy can work with SDP clients and is happy to discuss being brought into your local regional center’s fold through a third party payment system. (This can only happen through a parent request.)
